Assistant Vice President Product Management

This job is responsible for enabling the expansion of profitable growth of theMortgage Lending Solutions area, which includes planning, organizing, leading, and coordinating the provision of work and service for the product.  

This role will partner with Global Housing Operations leaders, Lending Solutions Product teams members, and shared services leaders to deliver profitable growth of the Lending Solutions business.

Location: This is a remote position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Has P&L accountability for the products and is responsible for establishing, monitoring and influencing all aspects of growth and profitability

  • Actively scans markets and responds to trends, including competitive practices, regulatory and legislative issues

  • Analyzes strategic opportunities to expand into new distribution verticals, as well as assessing capabilities needing to be developed or partnered in order to enhance current program value proposition

  • Leading assessment teams on which strategic priorities the business should focus

  • Working with operations teams to oversee the execution on strategic priorities, and to optimize and manage performance and expense

  • Serves as liaison to sales, marketing and account management to assess client requests and recommended innovations, and build and execute on business strategy

  • Working with senior leadership to showcase value added projects, as well as funding cases for new initiatives, business plans and opportunities/products

  • Defines and develops new product features, and market positioning based upon customer need and competitive environment

  • Works with IT and PMO teams to facilitate the enhancements or new service ideas implemented for the applicable platforms

  • Partners with Operations teams for effective execution and to meet or exceed customer service SLAs

  • Engages in contract negotiations and implementation with product support vendors

  • Partners with underwriting, claims, actuarial and risk management teams on the development and deployment of risk management measures, including underwriting rules and pricing


  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible and successful experience in property & casualty Insurance product management, management consulting, product development, or related discipline

  • 5+ years of overall experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Fina

  • Strong business and financial acumen

  • Keen understanding of the drivers of profitability, market dynamics and deal structures

  • Capability to do and/or critique complex financial modeling

  • Experience with product branding, pricing, positioning, and competitive analysis

  • Experience successfully communicating with, selling to, and obtaining the support of senior leadership on new initiatives

  • Proven ability to think strategically and innovatively

  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills to effectively communicate product strategy and corresponding operating procedures to all levels within the company

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams

  • Property Insurance product experience

  • Problem solving ability and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and align activities and priorities to meet organizational goals

  • Strong project management skills and good organizational skills to complete multiple complex tasks in a timely fashion

  • Ability to perform in a fast paced, dynamic and ambiguous business environment

  • Ability to work with senior level specialists in Legal, Actuarial, Finance, Operations, and Marketing

  • Ability to distill and develop action plans and measurements from the strategic plan and to successfully communicate the goals and action plans to others, rally support and drive for the desired results
