The Associate Manager, Content and Channels plays an integral role in the employee communication channels strategy, management and development of new channels, which will include overseeing the company-wide intranet (Connect) with an emphasis on Assurant’s internal content strategy.

In this role, the Associate Manager will be responsible for creating and managing our processes, tools and templates that will help us be a strong enterprise-wide team and help our employees to utilize our various channels to easily and effectively communicate and collaborate.

  • Defines proactive communication objectives and overall goals for internal content using an audience-based approach.
  • Drives content planning approach in coordination with Enterprise Communication team and the Social Marketing (Content)Team using enterprise management software.
  • Measures effectiveness and progress toward achieving content objectives and goals for channel implementation, reach and effectiveness.
  • Creates outcome-based content and channels strategy leveraging company channels including the intranet, town halls, email, internal social, etc.
  • Provides the tools, templates and channels to help employees work across teams, business and locations, particularly through the lens of equipping hybrid teams and employees in new work arrangements.
  • Responsible for producing creative and compelling content that achieves its objectives.
  • Plans communication in the context of short and long-term change outcomes and through the phases of change
  • Influences leaders and team members on the best tool for our needs and to manage the build, launch and ongoing adoption of our intranet and digital channels.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in communication emphasis on digital content.
  • 5+ years of relatable experience with corporate employee/functional communications. 

Preferred Skills

  • Strong writing skills a must, with the ability to distill large amounts of information into digestible, salient points

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Teams preferred

  • Online content management experience a plus

  • Project management experience a plus
