Automotive Division Vice President, Sales

The Automotive Division Vice President, Sales position is responsible for directing their organization’s sales team to meet and exceed goals. They work with National VP, Sales to determine and set those sales goals for their division for the month, quarter, year, and so on, and create strategies to reach them. They also are essential in hiring, training, and developing new members of the sales team, as well as managing the budgets for their division.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?  

  • Provides strategic leadership within Assurant Dealer Services channel specific strategies, based on a keen knowledge of the channel participants, markets, products and competitive landscape (traditional and disruptive).

  • Participates in the growth planning for ADS channel, creating a roadmap for increased profitability and commercial excellence within their division.

  • Perform day to day oversight and management of the ADS sales team for their division.

  • Research and proposes innovative strategies for ADS sales strategic accounts growth for their division; monitor sales effectiveness in delivering points of difference to increase our position in value creation for AIZ and our partners.

  • Occasionally serves as an industry SME on behalf of AIZ in the ADS Strategic Accounts forums, events and other stages to assert our industry perspective and ideas (goal).

  • Provides leadership in developing best practices for measuring and optimizing strategic activities to drive data-driven decision making and excellence in their division.

  • Pro-actively analyzes segment customer data to uncover insights and key takeaways that informs strategic planning, increases revenue and drives business value in their division.

  • Gathers and presents data on account performance, identify areas of potential income improvement, and implement strategies to cross-sell products in their division.

  • Ensures any service gaps are addressed quickly and effectively and in situations of conflict with the client, leads the management team(s) to resolution looking to accomplish a win-win situation.  Measures client satisfaction and uses findings to identify and address areas of opportunities as well as build upon success stories in their division.

  • Collaborates with risk management team related to current clients to mitigate regulatory risk and manage client compliance and oversight requirements in their division.

  • Will be responsible for expense management and revenue growth aligning with Enterprise Financial Plan within their division.

What are the requirements needed for this position?  

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Master's degree in Business Administration or 7+ years Automotive Insurance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience or 7+ years working within the F&I industry specifically with training and development, F&I products and with reinsurance structures.

How much should I expect to travel?  

  • 50% Travel

Candidate will need to live in the Midwest.
