The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for supporting reporting solutions that conform to group standards which will include investigation for development and production data issues. This role will collaborate with other team members in support activities.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for the support and maintenance of SSRS and Power BI reports.

Gains working knowledge of related source data systems and tool sets

Participate at regularly scheduled meetings with internal production support team and our business users as needed
-
Review and maintain all solution documentation.

Work in high paced environment in support of broad range of technical solutions.
-
Understand methodology, standards, policies, and procedures and ensure that teams are complying with established standards.

Design/develop solutions to business and technical requirements.
-
Identify and document quality assurance activities, strategies, and schedules.
-
Communicate issues and progress to management and customers as needed. Provide management reporting of status and relevant issues related to projects, personnel, etc.

Coordinate work activities across Data Analytics, Data Services, information technology departments, business, functional areas, and project teams.

Ensure all supported BI environments, Reports, and Dashboards are working accurately and as expected, that process and technology documentation is complete and accurate, and that appropriate disaster recovery procedures are developed and maintained for relevance.

Ensure that a proper control structure and escalation path is in place and is being followed and monitored.

Enforce governance and provide stewardship for supported environments, reports, Dashboards, and data models.

Communicate issues and progress to management and customers as needed.

Provide rapid corrective response and action to resolve disruptive incidents.
-
Ensure the communication of incident status to appropriate management, staff and user personnel.
-
Ensure the documentation of incident occurrence and resolution in the appropriate repositories.
-
Identify and recommend strategies to minimize risk(s) of incident recurrence.
-
Coordinate the application of program enhancements (resolutions) with the applications and technical staffs and follow through to ensure customer satisfaction and SLA compliance
-
Foster and sustain open communication with business users and stakeholders.

Test results and apply best practices on quality assurance

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements, to execute fast and to assure the right training and hand-over effort to the stakeholders

Ensure that provided timelines and business needs are met
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

Advanced problem-solving skills
-
Broad knowledge in visualization techniques, Knowledge in visual story telling with data, designing highly automated descriptive analytics/reporting solutions, building, integrating, and managing databases, creating data models, especially within the PowerBI stack, understanding of business needs and processes.

Knowledge of PowerBI, Excel, SSRS and Tableau, SharePoint, PowerApps, MSFlow, SQL and/or SAS

Knowledge in effective and compelling communication to technical and non-technical departments

Knowledge of Excel, MS word, MS PowerPoint

Good written and verbal communication skills

Good documentation skills
Experience – Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the fields of insurance, analytics, and reporting

Good interpersonal skills with ability to work across organizational boundaries.

Excellent in analyzing data and make strong recommendations based on findings.

Excellent in prioritizing tasks with shifting deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent in working independently with little guidance while still meeting objectives
