What's the role about?

The Team Member in the Dispatch Team plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate fulfilment of customer orders. Reporting to the Dispatch Team Leader, this position involves picking, packing, and dispatching orders and organizing and maintaining the inventory. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Fulfilment:

  • Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently according to customer specifications and company standards.
  • Ensure all items are securely packed and labelled correctly for dispatch.

Dispatch Operations:

  • Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring they are dispatched on time.
  • Coordinate with shipping partners and carriers to ensure smooth and efficient delivery processes.
  • Track dispatched orders and provide updates to the Dispatch Team Leader as needed.

Inventory Management:

  • Assist in putting stock away and organizing the inventory to ensure it is easily accessible and accurately recorded.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies to the Dispatch Team Leader.
  • Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment to ensure efficient operations.

Quality Assurance:

  • Follow all quality assurance protocols to ensure that orders are packed and dispatched to meet customer expectations.
  • Perform final checks on orders to ensure accuracy and quality before dispatch.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient and effective dispatch operations.
  • Communicate effectively with the dispatch team leader and other departments to promptly resolve any issues or discrepancies.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on new dispatch procedures and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of dispatch processes by providing feedback and suggestions.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to dispatch and inventory management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a dispatch or warehouse role is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
  • Ability to follow defined processes and procedures accurately.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Basic proficiency in using computers and inventory management systems.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require lifting and moving packages
