We are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Technical Accountant, you will manage the reconciliation of banking transactions to the General Ledger cashbooks and the production of all journals and documentation to support the process. You will also support the completion of other balance sheet reconciliations and activities .
Other responsibilities include;
- Perform bank reconciliations and follow up on reconciling items within agreed timescales
- Ensure reconciliations are performed as efficiently as possible, using automated reconciliation software
- Daily controls for all transactions into the cashbook electronically and manually, ensuring accurate completion at scheme level
- Maintain all P&L and Balance sheet cashbook journals daily and within agreed timescales
- Ensure all bank reconciliations are supported with the relevant documentation and are authorised before filing
You will have the following skills;
- Bank Reconciliation experience
- Knowledge of Internet banking systems
- Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Word and Outlook
- Credible with finance managers
