The HR Time and Attendance Specialist is responsible for supporting the Workday enabled time tracking (US non-exempt employees) and time off (all US employees) processes to ensure payroll accuracy and timeliness.
This will start as 100% remote and then become a hybrid remote/onsite role in the future.
Time and Absence Administration (70%)
Performs updates to employee timecards and time off records in Workday within service levels and according to established internal processes, policies, and related regulatory requirements.
Audits and reconciles leave related time integration from 3rd party leave administrator to Workday. Includes disability and other leave related pay types.
Calculates and submits manual pay adjustment requests and submits to payroll for processing.
Prepares spreadsheets for mass time uploads on an ad hoc basis, according to required Workday specifications.
Audit timekeeping and time off data and processes including shift differential eligibility, work schedule accuracy, holiday calendar assignments, and others as needed.
Partners with others in the People Experience Center, IT, and the payroll team to analyze and resolve time related data discrepancies between Workday timekeeping and ADP Payroll data.
Maintains work schedule and labor account code configuration in Workday.
Employee and Manager Inquiry Support (20%)
Provides Tier 2 inquiry support (phone, email, and chat/IM) to employees and managers. Provides Tier 1 support during peak times.
Process Improvement and Special Projects (10%)
Continuously identifies and presents opportunities to improve timekeeping and absence efficiency and the employee/manager experience.
Partners with cross-functional teams to enable two standard annual Workday upgrades, ongoing enhancements, and fixes to existing functionality.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
3 – 5 years of time administration experience in a large, dynamic, and complex multi-state organization.
Solid understanding of timekeeping systems and associated regulations, principles, practices, and procedures.
Possesses strong customer service and communication skills. Must be able to adjust to meet differing inquiry communication styles and needs.
Exercises good judgement and has ability to analyze and solve problems within area of responsibility.
Able to manage multiple priorities effectively and independently. Acts with urgency.
Detail oriented with intermediate MS Office skills.
Prior experience with Workday timekeeping a strong plus.
Prior experience with outsourced payroll and leave of absence administration vendors.
