ISO Internal Auditor

This role is responsible for performing audits on all systems related to the management systems programs (QMS, EHS, and R2) to which the US depot facilities subscribe.  The Internal Auditor will utilize the program Standard(s), Assurant’s documentation, and their own technical background and training, to identify system non-conformances and observations for improvement.  The Internal Auditor will generate, and issue audit reports based on their findings, as well as Corrective Action Requests (CARs) as required.

  • 60%: System Auditing
    • Perform to the annual audit schedule as assigned.
    • Maintain audit forms, records, and reports utilizing Microsoft programs such as Word & Excel.
    • Maintain data on audit results in appropriate hard copy and electronic format.
    • Perform process audits as needed.
  • 20%: Support
    • Compliance Team with departmental tasks as needed.
    • Safety team as needed with tasks related to the ISO/R2 standards.
  • 15%: System Maintenance
    • Collect and maintain data on assorted matrices
      • Waste streams (trash, cardboard, plastic, and paper)
      • Environmental aspects & impacts
      • Health & Safety hazards & risks
      • Legal requirements
  • 5% : Corrective Action Requests (CARs)
    • Review audit findings with Supervision and Management for audited areas
    • Issue, monitor, and close relevant CARs as needed

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as Internal Auditor or experience with of the following:
    • ISO 9001 (Quality Management System)
    • ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System)
    • ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety System)
    • R2:2013 or R2v3

Previous Experience

  • 1-2 years in an auditing position, preferably in a light manufacturing facility

The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the potential for Overtime.
