ISO Lead Auditor

Job Purpose:

The ISO Lead Auditor will assist the Compliance Manager in maintaining compliance to company policies, procedures, and industry certified standards across U.S. depot locations. Activities include coordinating with depot leaders, coordinating audit schedules, inspections, and creation or revision of documentation. Additionally, the ISO Lead Auditor will lead control at depot for the department’s areas of responsibility.

Job Responsibilities:

Supervisory:

  • Act as project lead on compliance-related efforts

  • Lead general auditor activities

  • Manage execution of the annual audit schedule

  • Coordinate resources necessary to perform compliance activity

Management Support:

  • Support and assist Compliance Management with US depot activity

  • Provide first line support in the manager’s absence

  • Execute strategic department goals across locations

  • The Regulatory Compliance Analyst will work directly with depot management for all compliance related activities

  • Drive completion and verification of issued corrective actions

External Audits:

  • Act as Lead during external audits under the guidance of the Compliance Manager

  • Ensure proper preparation for scheduled external audits

  • Lead role in responding to any external audit findings

  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years in an auditing position, with at least 1 year in a lead or senior role

  • Working knowledge of ISO standards (at least one standard from below)

    • ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 or R2

  • Demonstrated ability to perform internal audits and maintain audit schedules

Other Requirements:

  • Knowledge and Skills

    • Competent in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

    • Able to interpret basic charts and graphs (pie, bar, flow, Pareto, etc.)

    • Must have strong interpretive skills with work instructions in order to understand the procedure(s) that will be audited or controlled

  • Communication / Public Speaking

    • Must be comfortable with direct one-on-one interaction with all levels (associates, peers, management)

    • Must be comfortable speaking to or conducting training for up to 25 people at a time

    • Capable of present compliance concepts in a clear and understandable manner to depot personnel

  • The ability to work independently with little supervision

  • The ability to lead or act as SME in a project team environment

  • College degree or equivalent experience

  • Must have or be able to obtain lead auditor certification within 6 months

Preferred Previous Experience:

  • 2-4 years in a lead or senior role in a light manufacturing facility focused on consumer electronics

  • The ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of company personnel as well as external vendors or partners

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Education:

  • Certification as Lead Auditor to any or all of the following:

    • ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System)

    • ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System)

    • ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Assessment System)

    • R2:2013 or R2 v3 (Responsible Recycling)

  • OSHA 30-Hour Training completion

  • ASQ certification (CQA, CQE, etc.)

  • Advanced understanding of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)

  • Capable of performing research on topics in all areas of reference (OSHA, DOT, Regulatory Standards, Federal Register, etc.)

  • Ability to identify potential process and workflow improvements

  • Capable of performing research on topics in all areas of reference (OSHA, DOT, Regulatory Standards, Federal Register, etc.)

  • Ability to identify potential process and workflow improvements

10% travel estimated

The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM; however there will be the potential for occasional work on the weekend.
