The Facilities Maintenance Manager will direct all activities related to facility maintenance, equipment effectiveness (including TPM) operational layout, design, and equipment purchases, installations, and reconfigurations. In addition, the ability to immediately perform hands on diagnosis, repaid, and adjustments of equipment in response to operation demands is essential. The Facilities Maintenance Manager directs the activities of maintenance technician associates. The Facilities maintenance Manager partners with Operational Leadership in the development of LEAN manufacturing process and procedures.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
- Supervise Facilities Maintenance Technicians to ensure work schedules, job priorities, and timely completion of scheduled objectives
- Includes annual ATM plan generation, tracking, and merit review oversight
- Responsible for posting, interview, and hiring of department personnel to include discipline, discharge, and authoritative recommendations in such matters
- Develops function-specific orientation and training programs for area personnel
- Establishes standards for effective job performance and evaluates subordinates according to such standards
- Delegates these responsibilities to supervisory personnel as appropriate
- Oversee a preventative maintenance program (TPM) to ensure facility infrastructure receives regularly scheduled maintenance thereby limiting productivity impacting breakdowns
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure production tooling and fixturing is developed in support of new device launches to include by not limited to:
- Chargers, cradles, test jigs, hand tools, and bench outfitting
- Participate as a member of the Facility safety team with responsibility for safe equipment installs, evacuation drill oversight, and general physical safety and cleanliness of the facility
- Generation of site procedures and documentation to support maintenance, safety, security, and procurement initiatives
- Collaborate with management to develop and support manufacturing material movement processes required to drive efficiency
- Oversight of material conveyance system functionality with the ability to support maintenance and programming changes as required
What are the requirements needed for this position?
- Associate degree in Electromechanical or building field or comparable experience
- Must have a minimum of 8 years facility maintenance support experience within a fast paced manufacturing, industrial services, distribution, or assembly environment
- 5 years supervising and working with an hourly workforce
- Ability and willingness to be “hands on” thereby performing “every day” maintenance tasks as required
- Experience with manufacturing process flow, mapping process time, study and lean system development with ability to translate to new and existing business requirements
- Experience supporting volume manufacturing process to include volume material movement (conveyance systems, install and programming, automated material routing systems and bulk storage solutions)
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Experience working within 5S, Lean, and/or Six Sigma manufacturing environment
$69,800.00 - $116,400.00
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience, and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
