This role is responsible for managing the quality assurance and quality control across multiple departments within the Device Care Centers to ensure that proper processes, procedures, and controls are in place and are being followed per department and customer expectations. This hands-on job is responsible for managing all facets within the quality organization and the quality management system. In this role they will lead and manage within a fast-paced reverse logistics and repair environment, focusing on safety, operational excellence, self-motivation, problem-solving, and teamwork. This leader must be able to collaborate and work with other leaders across shifts, department and sites. Responsibilities include ensuring effective quality operations by working with the supervisors to complete customer priorities based on demand schedules, assigning tasks/projects as needed, coordinating the flow of work, oversee completion of work, monitor key performance metrics (KPI), managing labor efficiency across the area of responsibility, mentor/coach leaders and manage headcount.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
- Responsible for the development, implementation, documentation, and monitoring of quality assurance standards, processes, and controls
- Lead quality team within the Device Care Centers and collaborate with other quality leaders at other sites
- Lead DCC NPI (New Product Introduction) activities
- Acting as the central point of contact for the site to communicate, track and monitor the introduction of new products to the production area
- Act as primary interface with the customer on understanding their New Product Introduction Roadmap as well as driving needed customer deliverables for a successful product launch
- Working across multiple organization groups several of the key activities and deliverables will be:
- BOM Setup – (Engineering)
- Golden Samples– (Customer)
- Material sourcing approval – (Engineering/Materials/Customer)
- System setup (equipment model, SKUs etc.) – (Engineering)
- Test support – (Test Engineering)
- Work Instructions for all operations – (Process Engineering)
- Kitting Work Instructions – (Process Engineering)
- Box labeling format – (Engineering)
- First Article Inspection – QA
- Interact with departmental leaders in identifying customer facing activities within their areas that need quality assurance resources in order to ensure the delivery of a quality product that is within established SLAs
- Ensure that the business is operating and aligned with established regulatory procedures and company quality standards
- Actively support regulatory efforts with continual improvement and corrective actions, as needed
- Ensure that Six Sigma quality related initiatives are being followed throughout the facility
- Manages all quality monitoring records, reports, and analyses, ensuring that they are complete, accurate and prepared on time. Takes corrective action as necessary
- Analyze department and/or area production capabilities based on quality evaluations and make recommendations for improvements
- Directs quality assurance program and ensures quality problems are identified and resolved
- Keep up with industry trends to remain at the leading edge of quality services provided to our customers
What are the requirements needed for this position?
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of quality management experience within a fast-paced manufacturing, industrial services, distribution or assembly environment; including 3 years in leading supervisors
- Demonstrated experience with direct supervision and coaching of others
- Must have experience working within a 5S, Lean, Six Sigma environment
- Ability to identify potential process and workflow improvements
- Strong math, reasoning, analysis, and decision-making skills
- Must have strong knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Excel and Word and familiarity with label printers and bar code scanners
- Detailed oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have the ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of company personnel as well as external personnel
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Must be available to work extra hours as needed
- Experience managing an hourly workforce

$71,300.00 - $119,100.00
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience, and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
