Job Purpose:

The Manager of Reporting and Analytics is responsible for leading the design, roadmap, standards, maintenance, and support of reporting solutions within the Supply Chain team of our Mobile Service Operations.  You will work with analysts to develop and implement metrics and reports and be responsible for communicating analysis and insights to cross functional teams as well as Senior Management to drive margin improvement.  Additionally, the incumbent will oversee the maintenance and enhancement of our insurance demand planning tool and repair parts planning process.

What You Get to Do:

  • Partner with internal supply chain team to deliver effective reporting solutions and analytical tools.  (40%)
    • Maintain and enhance knowledge of the business operations and strategic imperatives of Assurant through the periodic review of business goals and operational and strategic plans.
    • Work closely with business units to provide direction in addressing business reporting challenges and identify new reporting solutions.
    • Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement with ability to develop and implement sustainable solutions
    • Enhance existing business reporting with focus on report automation
  • Provide system support to maintain and enhance the work activities of the insurance demand and depot repair parts planning process ( 40%)
    • Develops training materials for team members related to the planning platform deployed across the organization.
    • Responsible for documenting controls and standards for planning system
    • Cross train departmental personnel to ensure that all functions are always covered.
    • Recommend procedural changes as needed and implement those changes as directed.
  • Manage, participate in, and provide support for projects in support of supply chain business objectives and deadlines.  (20%)
    • Track and report on appropriate metrics and measurements to ensure organization success
    • Work closely with the internal clients to develop technology solutions that provide Assurant a competitive advantage and is aligned with broad strategies.

What You Need to Have:

  • 3+ years of previous analytical, supply chain, and/or distribution experience
  • 3 years leadership experience in leading teams and managing resources.
  • Excellent working knowledge of inventory planning tools (Oracle/SAP or similar)
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
  • Proficient and expertise using business intelligence applications (Power BI or Oracle based)
  • Experience with SQL, data analysis, visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI, etc.)

What We Would Like You to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Finance or related field required
  • Experience in quantitative analytics roles, SQL databases, and/or data modeling.
  • A strong knowledge of project management best practice processes and techniques, and comprehensive insight into concepts, tools and processes used for estimating, tracking, managing, and reporting work.
