What’s the role about?

Reporting to the Regional Marketing Director - Asia Pacific, this role is responsible for managing the integrated marketing and communication strategy and plan to support Assurant’s business in New Zealand (Connected Living and Automotive Lines of Business).

This includes managing efforts to execute B2B2C and B2C marketing initiatives across traditional and digital channels; leading account-based marketing plans and supporting the business; developing content and social media strategies and campaigns to support business growth; supporting corporate branding and localising enterprise messaging, aligned with regional and local strategy and goals; developing a 360 marketing strategy for clients, emphasising digital experience; and partnering with the communication team to align on the execution of the integrated marketing and communication plan.

You will be based in our stunning new central Auckland offices, where you will join a team that is passionate about providing the best experience. This role has flexibility to work from home up to two days per week.

Some of the key responsibilities:

  • Lead account-based marketing plans and support business development

  • Create and manage content and social media campaigns

  • Support corporate branding and localise enterprise messaging

  • Plan and execute events and sponsorship activities

  • Measure and manage paid media, digital, and social activities

  • Drive legal/compliance, business, and client approval processes for all deliverables

  • Continually improve the SEO content and functionality; manage the relevant websites

About you:

  • Intuitive with marketing and communication skills, preferably with experience working in a global organisation

  • Proven ability to identify opportunities, develop effective strategies, manage deadlines, budgets and vendors, partner with key stakeholders, and drive execution to generate results

  • Experience in marketing management, branding, digital and social, business development support, B2B2C and B2C client marketing and product positioning in online and offline marketing/sales channels

  • Experience in managing the implementation of marketing campaigns and managing consumer, client and corporate marketing initiatives

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to plan and prioritise tasks to meet timeframes

  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset, confident negotiator
