Job Description

We’re looking for an energetic and intuitive Marketing Manager for our expanding Marketing Integration Team. We’re not your traditional corporate marketing group! This team is comprised of individual contributors who interact extensively with cross-functional teams within Assurant to drive results for Assurant’s top tier clients.

As a Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading integrated marketing and communications initiatives designed to enhance the customer experience and drive growth and profitability for Assurant’s Connected Living segment and its clients.

This role will be remote. If you live in a market with an Assurant office, you may be asked to go in for onsite meetings periodically. There may also be travel required to quarterly meetings in the Miami office.

  • You’ve got an eye for detail and ensure accuracy, consistency and clarity in all your work
  • You’re creative – not only as it pertains to marketing and design, but also when it comes to problem-solving
  • You’re analytical and resourceful and know when to escalate issues to management for support and/or resolution
  • You’re comfortable leaning more heavily on traditional mediums that may require non-traditional means of measuring success 
  • You understand how to effectively navigate processes within large organizations and/or within regulated industries
  • You’re not afraid to get involved with routine administrative tasks, including reporting to leadership, as needed

You’d be responsible for:

  • Conducting needs analysis and taking an active role in content creation for deliverables (e.g. newsletters, articles, direct mail, brochures, presentations, point of purchase materials, sales tools and job aids, websites, apps, and customer communication channels including mail, email, and SMS messaging)
  • Supporting the field team by creating/reviewing/enhancing training and sales materials to realize strategic objectives including profitability and growth
  • Identifying opportunities in client’s omnichannel sales process to seamlessly integrate products and services in a compliant manner
  • Managing Marketing Development Funds and/or budgets as defined by the business
  • Leading in-house creative services team to execute on branded marketing for traditional and digital channels, including providing direction on artistic perspective, content and brand execution
  • Driving legal/compliance and client approval processes for all content deliverables

This is what we consider the basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or relevant field
  • 3 plus years of relevant experience in marketing management with proven success
  • Experience with core marketing methodologies related to product positioning, branding, promotions, market research and sales support
  • Experience working with client partners, exhibiting the ability to generate maximum return through effective marketing strategies and direction
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Business or relevant field
  • Bilingual or multilingual (English/Spanish/French/Portuguese)
  • Background in insurance, wireless carrier, retail, e-tail and/or OEM industries
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience in multiple marketing channels/mediums
  • Understanding of B2B2C marketing relationships
