As the Payroll Analyst, you will be accountable for assisting in the accurate and timely processing, reporting, and support of all payroll-related functions. This will include being responsible for initiative-taking collaboration with customers and key internal business partners. You will a subject matter expert for payroll processing and serves as a resource for leaders, employees, and supports cross-functional team initiatives and projects
In addition, you will provide customer service to internal clients for payroll issues including taxation, garnishments, benefits administration reporting, stock expense reporting, and any other payroll queries.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

Analyze complex payroll data to determine the appropriate course of action in accordance with multi-state tax laws

Assists with bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly Federal and State tax payments and filings as needed

Preparation of annual W-2 wage statements and federal and state filings

Provides guidance and approval on all quarterly error and adjustment reports needed for quarterly processing, wage, and tax adjustments into Workday for W-2 error reports, while working closely with the Payroll Supervisor

Ensures complex employee, manager, or business scenarios are analyzed and effective processing steps are taken to ensure resolution within payroll process guidelines

Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed timely and accurately

Resolve escalated issues with the People Experience Center, ADP, IT, Accounting, and Legal teams by working with the appropriate management to resolve discrepancies and pay issues

Review and analyze payroll processes bringing findings and issues to the manager’s attention while making recommendations for solutions and improvement

Ensures that all transactions are executed in compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices

Ensure that Payroll related SOX controls are followed and documented
What are the requirements needed for this position?
-
3 years of payroll experience in a complex, multi-state organization
-
1 year of tax experience
-
Advanced MS Office experience
-
Working knowledge of SOX, FMLA, and payroll/benefit tax regulations

Proficiency in working with large payroll systems that integrate or interface with other systems

Solid understanding and application of payroll regulations, principles, practices, and procedures
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred

ADP payroll experience is highly desired

Certified Payroll Professional

Project management experience

Strong organizational abilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with various levels of management and staff personnel

Proven collaboration and teamwork, decision-making, and leading teams across the organization
