People Operations Automation Analyst, Assurant, GCC-India
The Automation Analyst operates with a high level of independence in strategic planning, data analysis, and automation improvement initiatives in a world class organization. The position will partner with peers within the People Operational Excellence team, the Transformation COE, and across the People Organization to help promote best practice solutions, maximize workforce productivity, minimize waste, and supply value-added feedback.
The Automation Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions to streamline and optimize HR processes. This role involves working closely with HR stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver end-to-end automation solutions that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Implementation involves creating new technology-based solutions whereas support involves upgrades, maintenance or issue resolution to existing technology solutions.
This position will be Hybrid Working at Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore location.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
- RPA Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy RPA bots to automate HR processes. Identify opportunities for automation within HR operations, such as onboarding, payroll processing, performance management, etc. Work closely with IT and HRIS teams to develop and implement automated solutions using relevant HR tools and technologies. Develop automation by low-coding or other logic using advanced analytics, deep process understanding
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with HR stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies and pain points. Design and implement solutions to optimize HR processes, reduce manual tasks, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Process Analysis: Collaborate with HR teams to identify and analyze processes suitable for automation. Ensures that the design and technology solution implementation meet security standarts. Suggests fixes to issues by doing a thorough analysis of root cause and impact of any defect(s).
- Solution Design: Create detailed process documentation and solution designs for RPA implementation. Collaborates with all stakeholders such and infrastructure to integrate applications and hardware. Partners with business SMEs to translate business needs to technology solution requirements.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing of RPA bots to ensure accuracy and reliability. Applies operation break fixes and performs other proactive maintenance activities until permanent solutions can be implemented.
- Maintenance and Support: Monitor and maintain deployed RPA bots, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary updates. Supports and participates in the solution deployment process for new functionality/ subsystems/modules, upgrades, updates and fixes to the production environment.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for automated processes. (PDD, SDD)
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest RPA technologies and best practices to continuously improve automation solutions.
- Compliance and Audit: Ensure HR processes, practices and developed automations comply with relevant employment laws and regulations. Support internal and external audits related to HR operations/automations.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in RPA development
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in RPA tools such as Power Automate and Automation Anywhere. Strong understanding of programming languages like Python. Understanding of API integrations with AI technology
- Data Skill – Basic understanding of SQL and ETL processes
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex processes and develop effective automation solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with HR teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated track record of implementing technology solutions using structured methodologies such as agile

- Demonstrated track record of implementing technology solutions using structured methodologies (Scrum)
- Understanding of HR Process
- Power Platform Developer Associate certification or similar
