The Product Analyst is responsible for leading the development team through the product delivery cycle, monitoring KPIs and metrics regularly, and assisting in research efforts to help inform the product roadmap for the product(s) within their product areas. They will ensure a steady flow of projects that are well understood by their team and ready to execute, that measurement plans are in place to track progress against defined goals, and that their Product Manager and delivery team are well informed on product performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with your Product Manager(s) and other key stakeholders to execute the strategy and the operations for the products you work on.
  • Create clear, concise, and complete user stories; grow and refine product backlog working with your Product Manager(s) to prioritize against short- and long-term value delivery.
  • Collaborate with Design, Development, QA and other team members throughout product definition and project delivery to ensure releases deliver defined functionality.
  • Measure and communicate performance against product KPIs; define and execute testing strategy to improve user experience and product performance.
  • Develop a deep understanding of your users’ needs; recommend opportunities, including product enhancements and interface improvements, based on those needs and performance data/KPIs.
  • Assist with training stakeholders, including Operations and Sales / Business Development, on new features and functionality.
  • Prepare documentation of procedures, processes, and product features, as necessary to contribute to the overall knowledge base and understanding of the products you work on.
  • Evaluate partner/competitor activities and make recommendations based on your observations and understanding of relevant markets.
  • Participate in rich discovery processes, including market opportunities, user/customer research and prototyping to identify, evaluate and define features and functionality that are valuable to your users.

Required skills/experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Thrive in a self-start environment where you accomplish company and product goals through teamwork.
  • Must be focused on customer/user needs and experience.
  • Metrics and outcome driven with proven track-record of measurable success.
  • Analytical with the ability to evaluate complex data and make recommendations based on clearly articulated criteria.
  • Comfortable discussing technical issues/concepts with technical and business team members.
  • Creative with superb follow-through, problem-solving, organizational and communications skills.
  • Professional with business judgment and strong collaborative style.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in the retail/appliances space preferred.
  • An understanding and/or interest in the following:
    • Operations, Account Management, and/or Analytics
    • AGILE development methodologies
    • Experience in gathering detailed product requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting
    • Understanding of mobile and technology industry
