Product Marketing Director

We are looking for a Product Marketing Director who can take our innovative, connected home products to the next level by establishing a comprehensive and cohesive approach to how we talk about these products to our clients and consumers!

As the Product Marketing Director, you’ll work closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to establish Assurant as a global market leader for all Connected Home emerging consumer products through traditional and alternative channels. You’ll be responsible for the product marketing framework to drive B2B, B2C and D2C marketing for Pocket Geek Home across the enterprise ecosystem. You’ll use competitive research and data-driven insights to continuously improve our marketing strategies and activities.

You’ll have the support of your manager and in-house creative resources to support your efforts, but you’ll be an individual contributor who’ll plan and execute strategic marketing programs designed to establish, develop and strengthen the products and brand. You’ll articulate the product value proposition by developing positioning and consistent messaging. And you’ll establish marketing strategies to  drive sales and ensure our product marketing efforts are competitive in the market.

You’re the perfect candidate for this role if:

  • You’re experienced in marketing products and services through a variety of distribution channels (experience in marketing for mobile carriers, cable operators, retailers and insurance/financial industry would also be considered a plus!)

  • You’ve developed programs designed to increase sales, registration and engagement

  • You’ve got expert knowledge in a variety of marketing vehicles including traditional and digital mediums.

  • You know what it means to develop positioning that’s targeted to specific audiences

  • You’ve got what it takes to move KPIs including sales, downloads, registrations, usage and engagement

  • You use data to make the best decisions for your customers

  • You’re a self-starter and can juggle multiple priorities

  • You can make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic and often ambiguous environment

  • You’ve got exceptional analytical skills and enjoy solving problems and crafting solutions

This is what we consider the basic qualifications:

  • Eight (8) years in marketing, advertising or related field

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or relevant field

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, grammar, spelling), interpersonal skills (relationship building, collaboration, articulation) and project planning skills

  • Superior skills as it pertains to copywriting and artistic perspective/direction

  • Demonstrated ability to create innovative marketing solutions that generate results

  • Proven track record of delivering customer acquisition, growth and funnel optimization strategies

  • Demonstrated advocacy for product changes and communication strategies that improve the end-to-end customer experience

  • Strong analytical skills; bias toward decision-making based on data

  • Self-directed approach to drive alignment among internal stakeholders including Product Development, Business Leaders, App Development, Enterprise Marketing and Account Management teams

  • Experience working with in highly regulated environment requiring frequent interaction with Legal and Compliance teams and adherence to regulatory requirements

  • Focused mindset to identify and communicate priorities critical to success based on technology/consumer needs road map

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

  • MBA

  • Experience with marketing in diverse regions to assist with different global perspectives; Other regions may have localized marketing teams, but this role would serve as liaison to those regions to provide guidance and best practices
