Program Manager

This Program Manager role is responsible for understanding, communicating, representing and driving the organization, business and key program(s) strategy plans to execution within the cross functional, support teams, peers and up to Sr. Management.  This role will execute on large technology, strategic, cost-efficient assigned program(s) that align with the established program vision and timelines.  Role includes additional Commercial Account Management responsibilities which include directing the implementation and support of company commercial relationships and operations. This role is responsible for opportunity analysis, price negotiation, forecasting, business reviews and other projects.

Primary Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Guide and execute new product and program introductions, which includes internal/external team management, determining project scope and process flows, and creating training/operations material

  • Leads cross functional teams

  • Manages programs within the program by managing project managers, or roles equivalent.

  • Executes on assigned program(s) vision, plan, investment, costs and revenue goals.

  • Identifies trends within the program, provides recommendations to reduce or stay within budget, reach revenue targets and value add ideas in executing the program and executes on these findings.

  • Identifies, communicates and resolves program dependencies and risks to program

  • Established strong internal & external relationships

  • Will work independently, within a team structure.

  • Collaborate effectively with management and teams at all levels to accomplish goals

  • Ability to present to multiple/varied audiences internally & externally

  • Establishes strong internal relationships across the organization

  • Must have strong mentoring skills to assist with performance planning and coaching of internal teams

Vendor Management

  • Manage external vendor relations within Operations Department.

  • Perform as functional bridge amongst external vendors as well as internal stakeholders.

  • Coordinate all vendor management tasks inclusive of working with external vendors and internal employees.

  • Ensure enterprise-wide needs for due diligence, risk assessment and continuing vendor monitoring are being accomplished.

  • Ensure to track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance.

  • Troubleshoot all vendor problems and present to management as required.

  • Monitor contractual agreements for all IT function’s vendors.

Commercial Account Management

  • Evaluate business opportunities based on internal financial models, forecasts and company strategy.

  • Work with client representatives and establish relationships, explore options, implement programs and support operations.

  • Negotiate pricing with clients on behalf of the CPR network.

  • Host formal business reviews with clients, both remotely and in person.

  • Analyze performance reporting and target areas for improvement with existing clients and programs.

Responsibility for the work of others:

  • 2 - 3

  • Responsibility for program managers, cross functional and key line of business support teams as required based on the assigned Initiative / Program / Workstream

Financial Responsibility:

  • Responsible for meeting the investment, costs and revenue expectations based on the assigned Initiative / Program / Workstream

Basic Qualifications Required - Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field OR 4 years’ experience in lieu of degree.

  • 4-7+ years of experience in project or program management

  • 3+ years of experience in client relations or account management.

  • This position requires incumbents to regularly sit at a desk and operate standard office equipment such as a computer and phone

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Experience in Retail Store Operations and mobile device repair.

  • Proficient in the PMI Methodology (+)

  • PMP Certification (+)

  • Mobile/Wireless experience

Other requirements:

  • Able to drive cross functional consensus and sustaining a sense of urgency

  • Able to process complex time sensitive data and information from multiple sources, make decisions based on this data, and to effectively communicate the related actions to a broad audience

  • Prior experience managing direct reports or cross functional teams is a plus

  • Prioritize and organize as part of a program team to complete multiple tasks

  • Business function expertise

  • Cross functional Portfolio Management expertise

  • Ability to Manage programs with high complexity

  • Manage programs for internal stakeholders and large external stakeholders

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Good interpersonal skills- especially working with cross-functional teams- and the ability to present a professional image

  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

  • Self-motivations to work independently to meet organizational goals

  • Skilled at these applications: MS 365, Word (proficient level), Excel (proficient level), PowerPoint (proficient level), MS Program (proficient level), and Visio (proficient level)
