Hyla is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team!  We are seeking an individual who thrives on challenges, enjoys helping others to solve problems, has a “Get It Done” attitude, and a strong desire to learn new things.

Hyla Mobile, an Assurant Company, is a rapidly growing company that provides Mobile Device technologies and services to Wireless Carriers and Consumer Electronics Retailers. Hyla’s goal is to transform the wireless ecosystem by enabling Carriers and Retailers to offer smartphone trade-in programs to their consumers. Hyla manages these trade-in programs on behalf of the top brands in the wireless industry, including AT&T, Verizon, Best Buy, Google, and many others.

The Project Manager will be accountable for managing projects with top-down oversight from inception to completion. They will be responsible for the coordination of people and processes to ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and produce their desired results. The Project Manager will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization and timeline.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.

  • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives

  • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.

  • Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.

  • Analyze economics of project plans and provide actionable feedback relating to cost benefit and return-on-investment standards.

  • Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes.

  • Oversee acquisition of resources and materials as needed before and during projects by talking with customers, team members, managers, and in-house accountants and negotiating price and payment agreements with vendors.

  • Anticipate details of future projects by communicating directly with customers and staying informed of relevant trends and industry news.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, or Engineering, or related fields

  • Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification required

  • 5+ years relevant experience in a project management role

  • ERP/MRP/Supply Chain technology project experience

  • Comfortable working within both waterfall and Agile methodologies

  • Experience delivering software implementations, logistics services, or complex professional services (experience with two or three is a plus)

Other Experience:

  • Outstanding communication skills including verbal, written and listening skills. Proven success in creating and delivering impactful project plans, analysis and recommendations

  • Outstanding organization and executional skills, with proven ability to plan and execute projects on-time and on-budget

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively &independently manage relationships and projects

  • Familiarity with collaborative Project Management tools like JIRA, Basecamp, Trello, etc.

  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other Microsoft Office products

  • Flexible, adaptable, self-starter. Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic, growth-oriented environment

  • Eager to grow personally and take on new responsibilities

  • Strong team player, with proven ability to execute in a collaborative environment and marshal resources cross-functionally

  • Decisive and authoritative, with the ability to command the respect of your cross-functional peers to ensure team execution
