The Regional Field Trainer position exists to provide direct learning support and training delivery to our Wireless Device Field Repair service technicians, leadership, and other support roles. Training will be facilitated through multiple venues to include but limited to in-person instructor lead training and online virtual sessions. This role is essential to the professional and technical development of our team members to support our client in their service enabled retail centers nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum and Program Facilitation

Partner with regional business leaders and district management to identify specific training needs for their respective markets. Schedule and facilitate training to support both new and existing associates as the business requires.

  • Deliver mobile phone technology-related product and service trainings to assigned Live-in-Person and Web-Based audiences in a dynamic, energetic, personable, engaging, intelligent fashion.
  • Deliver key client developed content as required by our customer to support  a cohesive and effective partnership. Ensuring Assurant team members are informed and able to practice client driven initiatives.
  • Facilitate required training on demand  if mandated by the needs of the business.
  • Create and manage a quarterly training schedule for assigned region.
  • Coordinate training dates and offerings with Regional and District leadership.

Course Development & Implementation

Create learning experiences that support or accelerate business objectives, using a variety of learning methodologies in partnership with instructional design team.

  • Remain current on existing and emerging learning methodologies and technologies.
  • Work with subject matter experts and instructional design team to transform knowledge into learning solutions.
  • Specify learning objectives and design experiences to meet the objectives.
  • Provide essential feedback from the field on what learning solutions are both effective and ineffective to help improve existing criteria.
  • Help build, update, and maintain retail repair & training presentations (PowerPoint, videos, etc.), job aids, reference material, and other pertinent digital vehicles for learning optimization across all assigned platforms and audiences.

T3 (Train the Trainer) Field Support

Provide in field training support to regional, district, and site leadership.

  • Provide site level training to lead technicians to support in-store repair certification requirements.
  • Provide direct oversite and support on ensuring required training curriculum is being facilitated correctly and effectively at the store level.
  • Train & certify lead technicians on on-site training delivery.

Training Records Management:
Ensure that associates records are up to date and compliant with both business and industry standards.

  • Record and update associate training records upon successful completion of facilitated training.
  • Verify and provide direct feedback to field on missing compliance or certification training for associates in assigned region.
  • Provide associate monthly record updates to field services leadership.

Required skills/experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Clear, dynamic, & precise communication skills to all levels of employees, from entry-level agents to C-level executives, both inside and outside our organization.
  • Wireless (cellular), OEM, and/or consumer electronics repair experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of presentation and training curriculum development.
  • Proficiency in many forms of audience-driven content creation, design, and delivery, especially Microsoft’s PowerPoint, with a detailed eye towards designing and delivering slides for clear, classroom projection.
  • The qualified candidate should be able to create and deliver clear, engaging, aesthetically formatted, and properly animated PowerPoint content with quickness and ease.
  • Extraordinary attention to details in content creation and language nuance.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook); strong computer proficiency (Mac & Windows), web conferencing (ex. GoToMeeting, Zoom, Skype), and A/V setup and troubleshooting skills (projector setup, TV and audio systems, etc.).
  • This will be a Remote position.
  • Must be able to travel up to 30% to 50%.
