Hyla Mobile, an Assurant Company, is a rapidly growing company that provides Mobile Device technologies and services to Wireless Carriers and Consumer Electronics Retailers. Hyla’s goal is to transform the wireless ecosystem by enabling Carriers and Retailers to offer smartphone trade-in programs to their consumers. Hyla manages these trade-in programs on behalf of the top brands in the wireless industry, including AT&T, Verizon, Best Buy, Google, and many others. 

This position will assist the Compliance Manager in maintaining compliance to company policies, procedures and industry certified standards across US depot locations. Activities include coordinating with depot leaders, coordinating audit schedules and inspections, and creating or revising documentation. Lead control at depot for the department’s areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities:

Supervisory:

  • Act as project lead on compliance-related efforts
  • Lead general auditor activities
  • Manage execution of the annual audit schedule
  • Coordinate resources necessary to perform compliance activity

Management Support:

  • Support and assist Compliance Management with US depot activity
  • Provide first line support in the Manager’s absence
  • Execute strategic department goals across locations
  • Work directly with depot management for all compliance-related activities
  • Drive completion and verification of issued corrective actions

External Audits:

  • Act as Lead during external audits under the guidance of the Compliance Manager
  • Ensure proper preparation for scheduled external audits
  • Lead role in responding to any external audit findings

Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years in an auditing position, with at least 1 year in a lead or senior role
  • Working knowledge of ISO standards (at least one standard from the following: ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 or R2)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform internal audits and maintain audit schedules

Other Knowledge and Skills

  • Competent in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Able to interpret basic charts and graphs (pie, bar, flow, Pareto, etc.)
  • Must have strong interpretive skills with work instructions in order to understand the procedure(s) that will be audited or controlled
  • Must be comfortable with direct one-on-one interaction with all levels (associates, peers, management)
  • Must be comfortable speaking to or conducting training for up to 25 people at a time
  • Capable of presenting compliance concepts in a clear and understandable manner to depot personnel
  • The ability to work independently with little supervision
  • The ability to lead or act as SME in a project team environment
  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Must have or be able to obtain lead auditor certification within 6 months
