Job Purpose

The Home Sales & Account Management is responsible for driving and executing sales activities to achieve the financial target of Japan Home business and managing Home business clients in accordance with Japan Home business strategy and plan.

Primary Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Support Home GM to establish current and mid/ longer term goals, objectives, and financial plans for Japan Home business
  • Develop and coordinate all aspects of the business development as well as sales cycle and methodology to generate new sales opportunities and ensure profitable retention of existing clients, including analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of sales activities, methods, costs, and results for the areas in charge
  • Build new business relationships and identify new growth opportunities with both new and existing Home clients, securing future revenue generation and enhancing the profit
  • Develop new Home business, draft and negotiate related contract terms and conditions, and own and hands-on manage the process and project till the business operations are stabilized after the completion of implementation along with the operations and other relevant teams
  • Draft terms of service for new/ enhanced programs/ services and get them implemented
  • Lead resolution in case of incidents and troubles in collaboration with relevant people/ teams, calling out for relevant individuals, analyzing issues, setting and managing timeline and progress, and facing with the client
  • Monitor and report financial numbers and progress of deals against the plan in a regular sales meeting as well as the market update, trend analysis, competitor environment, etc. that could have impact on the business
  • Ensure trust and collaborative relationship with other teams to facilitate the achievement of the goals
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by manager.

Experience/Skill/Knowledge Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or relevant field
  • Native fluency in Japanese and business level of English in writing and reading
  • Proven track record of the development of sales plans, sales delivery, and business growth
  • Strong business and financial acumen; keen understanding of the drivers of profitability, market dynamics, and deal structures
  • Extensive market-facing experience with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior executives across a diverse base of potential clients
  • Strategic planning/ big picture thinking with the ability to diligently follow up
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate initiative objectives, implementation plans and status and to effectively communicate with executive audiences
  • Ability to establish credibility and trust quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with ambiguity and multiple decision makers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to overcome obstacles/ barriers
  • Roll-up sleeves, can-do attitude, creative and out-of-box thinker, strong sense of ownership and responsibility, strong influencing skills engaging and involving relevant parties

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Knowledge

  • MBA or Master’s degree in business, finance or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience working for non-life insurance or warranty company
  • Business level of English speaking capability
