The Senior Accountant provides accurate and timely financial information to Segment and Corporate management and will provide guidance and support to less experienced staff. The position will help cultivate a continuous improvement culture and promote ongoing learning and engagement in a fast-paced F&A shared services environment.

The ideal candidate must be able to contribute to the Shared Service strategy and execution by applying their knowledge and experience.  


  • Prepares and assists in the completion of financial reporting information

  • Assist in the planning and implementations of accounting work and activities

  • Develop and maintain relations with business segments and stakeholders

  • Assists in monitoring key performance indicators

  • Support compliance and ongoing improvements with internal controls including SOX and MAR

  • Assist AFS management to help build AFS Brand

  • Assist to ensure team meets all deadlines and deliverables in a timely and accurate manner

  • Identify opportunities and support continuous learning and a continuous improvement culture

  • Assist in identifying and developing best practice solutions

  • Support and make recommendations to develop efficient, and innovative processes

  • Foster open communication and innovative thinking

  • Supports accounting system and processes


  • Serves as a subject matter expert to less experienced employees

  • Review and analyze financial information prepared by others


  • Minimum 3 years of Accounting experience

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • In depth knowledge of financial practices, including statutory accounting

  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills

  • Problem solving, critical thinking skills

  • Results oriented
