Senior Pricing Analyst

The Senior Pricing Analyst is primarily responsible for program performance analysis and pricing activities within the Global trade-in programs.  The Pricing Analyst will have the opportunity to 1) gather, organize, and analyze business data; 2) make significant contributions in assuring deliverables meet the plan and; 3) actively participate in the pricing process for setting trade-in values, asset recovery, and disposition.

This position will be focused on working with large and complex datasets while translating business questions into data-driven insights. Power BI will be used as a data visualization tool to create executive dashboards to track program performance. Curiosity and creativity are key to developing new solutions to tough business questions asked of this role and team.

The analyst utilizes formal training and/or a high level of first-hand experience to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed procedures and revise or develop process controls, systems, and related procedures to process and analyze data.  The analyst will be focused on pricing-related activities to provide efficient solutions to drive data-driven decisions across the broader team.

What will my duties and responsibilities be in this job?

  • Develop solutions and recommendations for improving pricing decisions through applying in-depth business understanding.

  • Responsible for querying large data sets and transforming data into digestible intelligence for diverse audiences.

  • Assist in the early stages of requirements analysis and development activities.

  • Participate in the development of reporting solutions according to business and technical requirements.

  • Apply market understanding and data to improve information and models used to drive pricing decision processes.

  • Document existing and new business workflows with applicable metrics and measures

  • Identify defective or ineffective work processes/flows within related work areas and make appropriate recommendations for improvement, efficiency gains, or optimization.

  • Perform analysis on the impact of new launches against existing devices on the collection plan

  • Closely coordinate activities with internal cross-functional teams in order to optimize asset value management processes and asset recovery programs.

  • Analyze factors in the marketplace and those impacting the program to formulate forecasts, estimates, and projections that impact selling initiatives.

  • Perform other related tasks or duties as required or assigned

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, statistics or similar

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Pricing function or a related field such as data analytics or financial modeling

  • Experience implementing and managing pricing strategy

  • Ability to track and monitor market pricing

  • Experience creating financial models and program analysis to drive program profitability

  • Skills, interest, and curiosity to derive insight from large amounts of data from diverse sources

  • Excellent communication to be able to articulate data and findings to management

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively perform system support duties

  • Ability to quickly learn new applications

  • Ability to process time-sensitive data and information from multiple sources, make decisions, and communicate actions

  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and work independently, or as part of a project team, to complete multiple tasks

  • Requires the ability to perform detailed work

  • Requires strong interpersonal skills

  • Working knowledge of wireless handsets

How much should I expect to travel? 5%
