Torisetsu D2C Planning & Promotion (トリセツD2C企画 ・プロモーション)

Job Purpose (Why job exists)

This position is responsible for planning and delivering promotional activities, designing and implementing fee-based services, monitoring and analyzing KPIs, and making post-launch improvements for various services and programs to enhance Torisetsu(*) D2C (Direct to Consumer) business as a right hand person to Torisetsu General Manager.

For promotional activities, the incumbent will be in charge of listing up external promotion agencies and running a selection process, negotiation with the selected agency on terms and conditions including but not limited to service level, fee, timeline, etc., managing delivery of promotion activities and assessing their effectiveness.

For implementation of fee-based services, the incumbent will handle sales simulation, designing functions in cooperation with Torisetsu engineer team, etc.

(*) Torisetsu is an app which enables users to manage user manuals and catalogues of various home appliances on one spot.

トリセツ事業部General Managerの右腕として、D2C(Direct to Consumer)ビジネスを拡大するために、プロモーション企画立案・実行、有料サービスの詳細設計・導入、KPIモニタリング・分析、各種サービス・プログラムリリース後の改善等を担っていただきます。今後のトリセツ事業拡大に大きく貢献できる非常に重要なポジションです。

プロモーションにおいては、適切な社外の広告会社選定や交渉から実際のプロモーション実施・効果分析等、有料サービスの設計・導入においては、売上のシミュレーションやトリセツ事業部エンジニアチームと連携した機能の設計等を行います。

*トリセツは、煩雑になりがちな家電の取扱説明書やカタログ、使用説明書などをスマートフォンやタブレットで一元管理できるアプリです。

Primary Job Accountabilities/ Responsibilities

  • Establish various promotional activities and fee-based services and deliver to enhance profit for Torisetsu by increasing the number of general (D2C) Torisetsu users and profit opportunities
  • Make a list of external promotion agencies depending on our needs, run a selection process to determine an agency to engage, manage promotion activities from end to end, and assess effectiveness and outcome of such promotion activities
  • Conduct feasibility study and detailed designing of a new service, collaborate with Torisetsu engineer team to actualize designed services/ functions, and manage a project till the new services is successfully launched
  • Set up KPIs to assess effectiveness and outcome of various initiatives in D2C business and monitor and report KPIs on regular basis
  • Analyze KPIs, identify areas of improvement, develop action plans for improvement and implement
  • Come up with ideas for new services which help D2C users based on user feedback, initiatives/ actions taken in Torisetsu B2B business, market trends on mobile apps etc.
  • Build good relationship and maintain it with various stakeholders such as Torisetsu engineer team, external promoters, finance team, legal team, etc.
  • Lead and manage various agreements in cooperation with legal team on D2C business matters

  • プロモーションにおいては企画の立案、プロモーションの方法に応じた適切な外部パートナー会社の選定、プロモーション施策の実施および効果の測定を行う
  • 有料サービスの企画においては、フィージビリティスタディ、サービス内容の詳細設計、エンジニアチームと連携したアプリ機能の仕様確定、サービスローンチまでのプロジェクトマネジメントを行う
  • D2Cビジネスにおける各施策の効果を計るKPIを設定し、定期的にモニタリング・報告する
  • KPIに基づき改善策を検討し、実施する
  • ユーザーのフィードバック、トリセツB2B関連施策・動向、市場におけるアプリのトレンド等から、D2Cユーザーに役立つ新たなサービスを検討・立案する
  • トリセツエンジニアチーム、社外のプロモーター、社内ファイナンスチーム、法務等、様々なステークホルダーと良好な関係を構築し、維持する
  • 法務の協力のもと、D2Cビジネスに係る各種契約(社外プロモーターとの契約等)をリードし管理する

Basic Qualifications Required - Experience, Skills, and Knowledge and Other Requirements

  • At min 5 years of experience in planning and running in-house non-game Apps
  • Experience in planning and running promotional activities to increase users for in-house Apps/ web services
  • Experience in leading a launch of new in-house Apps from the very first design phase to the actual delivery
  • Ability to conduct quantitative analysis on effectiveness of promotion activities and make and implement improvement plans
  • Ability to do market analysis, competitive analysis, and sales simulation in launching a new service/ promotion activity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Analytical capability both qualitative and quantitative
  • Strong relationship building, influencing, and conflict management skills
  • Ability to move things forward step by step by making and assessing hypothesis even under VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) environment
  • Highly goal-oriented with healthy strong persistency to achieve goals
  • 非ゲーム領域における自社アプリの企画・運営経験5年以上
  • 自社アプリ/Webのユーザー数向上に向けたプロモーションの経験
  • 自社アプリで新サービスを企画し、ローンチまでリードした経験
  • プロモーション施策の効果を定量的に分析し、改善策を検討・実行するスキル
  • 市場分析、競合分析、新サービス/プロモーション導入時の売上シミュレーションができること
  • 高いコミュニケーション能力(口頭・文書ともに)
  • 定量・定性データに基づく分析能力
  • 優れた関係構築スキルとinfluencing skill, conflict management skill
  • VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous)な状況下でも仮設を立て、検証し、ステップバイステップで物事を前に進めることができること
  • 目標達成に対する強い意欲と健全な執着心があること

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Business level of English skill
  • Experience in freemium service and/or fee-based service in non-game sphere
  • Experience in new business development
  • Experience in working for an IT start-up company or small sized IT company
