We are expanding our team! Assurant is seeking a VP of National Sales & Relationship Management. As the VP, you will be an individual contributor to lead the strategic sales plan for Assurant’s Lender Placed Insurance. The Lender Placed Insurance (LPI) business generates over $1.5 billion in annual revenue.
In this role, you will be a pivotal team member in cultivating, developing, and strengthening long-term relationships with executive/c-level decision makers of the Top 50 Mortgage Servicing organizations in the United States. You will develop, direct, and provide overall leadership to ensure the execution of the strategic vision of sales and marketing plans for the LPI products and services. In addition, you will provide direction and guidance on key prospects to Assurant’s account team to ensure we maximize retention, growth, and profitability.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

Leads deployment of key strategies to promote YOY revenue growth and engagement with new prospects and securing long-term renewals for existing clients that align with the LPI financial requirements.

Establishes business development best practices, sales process, & policies to drive effective growth and efficiency to drive desired sales outcomes.

Establishes, cultivates, and maintains relationships with prospects to grow through new business opportunities by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.

Execute on the targeted LPI prospect strategy.

Direct and actively negotiate complex contract negotiations with existing clients and prospective customers for all assigned product lines.

Establish current and long-range goals and objectives and set strategic vision for Sales in support of the LPI business’ overall goals.

Develop and coordinate all aspects of the sales cycle and methodology utilized to generate new sales opportunities and ensure profitable retention of existing clients including, analyzing, and evaluating the effectiveness of sales activities, methods, related costs, and results.

Plan and coordinate account reviews and planning sessions.

Establish and oversee the execution of customized market strategies related to assigned product lines including, strategic planning, communication, market and competitive analysis and marketing strategies.

Manage and expand major and critical client or prospective client relationships in collaboration with Assurant Executive Management and key Lending Solutions Account Management and Product Management leaders.

Plan and coordinate, in collaboration with Account Management, Product Management and Marketing, communications with executive leaders across established and prospective clients.

Serves as a subject matter expert on the LPI products and services and articulates business proposition to the “right” prospects at the “right” time.

Identify new prospects and build a sales pipeline that includes new business opportunities.

Guides direct and matrix resources in development of annual business plans and growth strategies to ensure metrics and revenue goals are being met.

Advanced understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive.

Understands go-to-market models across prospect and product line segments and execute against them.

Represent Lending Solutions at various industry conferences and events.
What are the requirements needed for this position?

Bachelor’s Degree
-
A minimum of 7 years of experience in business development and sales.

Mortgage servicing industry experience and a proven track record of extensive and long-term relationships with executives/C-level decision makers of the top 50 Mortgage Servicers in the United States.

Proven track record of strategic planning and exceptional negotiation expertise.

This role also includes an additional variable compensation plan tied to sales performance.

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience, and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
