The Director, Finance will lead the Global Housing Financial Planning and Analysis function to achieve goals which contribute to the attainment of the Company’s revenue, profitability and return targets.  This position will direct the development and delivery of insightful analysis capable of driving sound business decision making. 

The Director will play an integral role in the quarterly forecast process, annual strategic planning process, long-term financial forecast and may assist with acquisition financial due diligence and integration as needed within Global Housing.  This individual will foster and drive an environment of continuous improvement to include the development of new capabilities, the evaluation and implementation of new tools, and efforts to create scalability.   

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Provide business partnering support with insightful analysis to finance and business leaders in support of strategic objectives from strategic decision making to execution. (30%)

  • Lead the company’s business planning and forecasting processes.Partner with members of Global Housing’s leadership team to develop short and long term business plans in support of on-going and strategic initiatives.Ensure consistent planning and business analysis on company-wide projects and initiatives. (30%)

  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of analysis for the quarterly earnings call, continuing to advance analytics and insights.(10%)

  • Build FP&A team’s capabilities including agility and scalability – not only execute on various initiatives, but also add substantial value to the decision making process through proactive data mining, insightful analysis and research.(20%)

  • Assist with acquisition and divestiture assessments; perform special projects as required.(10%)

  • 1 Sr. Analyst

Financial Responsibility

  • Responsibility for Global Housing revenue forecasting and planning

Travel

  • Up to 10%

Qualifications/Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required

  • 10+ years of progressive management experience in business analytics, planning, forecasting and strategy

  • Advanced Excel skills including ability to build financial forecasts with appropriate formula checks throughout and audit the work of others for accuracy

  • Intermediate PowerPoint skills including the ability to present information to executive audiences

Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • Advanced degree MBA and/or CPA preferred

  • Background & knowledge in insurance industry, preferably property

  • Experience in a world class financial services company is highly desirable.

  • Experience with IBM Planning Analytics / TM1

  • Experience in implementation of ERP and EPM tools highly beneficial.

  • Experience leading teams and driving them to excel

  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to leverage information through advance analytics to produce valuable business, market, and customer insights

  • Superior communication skills, both written materials and financial analysis, as well as oral/presentation skills; Ability to communicate financial information to non-technical audiences

  • Ability to adapt and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong collaborator across all areas of finance, with the ability to direct supporting resources for cross functional efforts

  • Comfortable leading in an environment of both direct and matrix reports

  • Strong organizational leader who can attract, develop, and retain a high-performing and diverse team

  • Ambition and drive to continue progression & career build
