Employer Marketing Manager

We are currently looking for an Employer Marketing Manager who will develop and promote our employer brand to internal and external target audiences. The person in this position will provide critical recruitment and candidate engagement support and will work cross-functionally to build our reputation as an extraordinary and diverse workplace. They will partner closely with Talent Acquisition (TA) and the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) teams.

  • Lead efforts with diverse organizations to promote Assurant as an inclusive employer, and specifically promote leadership opportunities to diverse channels

  • Develop and deliver the Employer Brand strategy, including plans, goals, and success measures for content, messaging, videos, channels, Social Media platforms for careers, job board channels, and new identified initiatives

  • Collaborate with Marketing, TA, DEI, Communications, and the Global People Organization to understand business trends and develop initiatives that will attract and retain top talent and develop diverse pools of candidates

  • Grow and oversee Assurant’s employer brand Social Media presence by developing strategies and content for social channels: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram; and recruiting sites like Glassdoor and Indeed

  • Work with content teams to gather employee-generated content that aligns with the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to support recruitment marketing initiatives including highlighting our existing diverse employee population and with a specific focus on improving representation in leadership roles

  • Lead efforts to leverage employee testimonials and video/Altru to communicate the EVP and our culture, enhance our brand, build awareness of Assurant as a Great Place to Work and convert prospects to candidates

  • Lead the Employer Brand video/Altru efforts to continue to build and optimize our video content so that candidates are able to find relevant videos regardless of their location, functional expertise, and cultural preferences

  • Partner with DEI team and develop innovative partnerships and strategies that enhance diverse recruitment efforts

  • Leverage the Content Management System (CRM)/Beamery platform to drive marketing campaigns to the candidates that have applied to a job but did not get hired to the specific opening they applied for, for instance, drip marketing campaigns to improve our recruiter’s ability to build and engage with talent pipelines and developing communication templates to drive awareness of our broad spectrum of opportunities

  • Lead the monitoring and response to employee and candidate reviews on sites like Glassdoor and Indeed to ensure a positive perspective as candidates research Assurant

  • Lead the identification, analysis, and prioritization of ‘Best Places to Work’ opportunities and partner with others to pursue top priority recognition

  • Establish and analyze goals, reporting, and metrics to communicate value and Return On Investment (ROI) to key business leaders

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or related field is highly preferred

  • 5+ years’ experience in an Employer/Talent Branding, Consumer Brand/Marketing Strategy, Digital Marketer, or other relevant function

  • 1+ years’ direct experience supporting talent acquisition or serving in a recruitment marketing or employer brand capacity (in a corporate or agency environment)

  • Proven track record of developing core messaging, positioning, and employee value proposition materials

  • Proven ability to produce outstanding results through effective relationship management, influencing, collaboration and partnership with business stakeholders

  • Proven track record in developing recruitment marketing and social media marketing campaigns and driving community engagement

  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively, strategically, and operationally with strong analytical skills

  • Experience with performance metrics and data analysis used to influence business decisions.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Word)

It's a plus to have:

  • Experience with University or Intern Recruitment

  • Previous use of tools such as Google Analytics, Google AdWords & Facebook Ads

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and CRM systems (Workday, Beamery are ideal)

  • Experience in creating and executing email marketing campaigns in recruitment marketing or consumer marketing automation platforms (e.g. Beamery, Avature, Smashfly, Hubspot, Marketo, etc.).
