Strategic Enablement & Change Project Coordinator

As a Strategic Enablement & Change Project Coordinator at Assurant, you are an integral member of the People Organization. Your role is focused on supporting enterprise wide transformation programs and key initiatives.  Reporting to the VP of Strategic Enablement & Change and working directly with senior members of the team, the individual will play a key role in executing end-to-end  complex transformation activities that includes (but not limited to), the Strategic Enablement & Change (SE&C) intake process for programs and merger and acquisition (M&A) processes.

What you need to have:

2 Years of Project Management or related business experience, plus:

  • Understanding of all stages of project life cycle

  • Organization and planning skills

  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver results

  • Influencing and relationship building skills

  • A high degree of demonstrated capabilities in global stakeholder coordination, verbal and written communication, and creativity

  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking, prioritizing, time-management, and the passion for fostering strong client-facing and team relationships

  • Familiarity with program risk management and quality assurance control

  • Hands-on experience with project management tools, such as Microsoft Project or Trello; experience with SharePoint a plus

  • Ability to navigate in face paced environment with tight deadlines, and adaptability to embrace change and be flexible

  • Strong attention to detail

  • BA/BS preferred or 4+ years’ experience working on projects or project teams

Required: Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams

What you get to do:

Program Support

  • Manage the SE&C intake process for programs

  • Monitor progress, manage/help resolve issues and risks, understand dependencies, and escalate when initiative goals are not being met

  • Assist with administering ad hoc listen sessions, focus groups and interviews

  • Assist with the execution of leader and team assimilation and workshops

  • Maintain program documentation, plans and reports, including stakeholder management plans

  • Schedule and lead calls regarding program activity, and follow up with decisions, actions, and next steps

Administrative

  • Manage weekly team meetings (scheduling and agenda management)

  • Coordinate with SE&C team members to ensure programs remain on schedule and in accordance with project plan

  • Assess content management process within the SE&C team and improve where needed

  • Provide administrative support as needed for the SE&C Team, such as meeting facilitation, content development, logistics and communications
