Assurant Mortgage Solutions (AMS) is a leading national provider of Valuation, Field Service and Title products and services across the mortgage value chain. In the course of serving our clients, we engage tens of thousands of vendors (appraisers, brokers, inspectors, contractors, abstractors, notaries and attorneys), representing both our largest expense base as well as a critical asset in meeting ever changing client needs.
Leveraging a consultative approach, the Margin Strategy & Optimization Leader will collaborate with senior product line (P&L) leaders and vendor management teams across mortgage solutions to develop and implement strategies and best practices that enhance how we leverage our vendor panels.
In partnership with the product line vendor management teams, this role will analyze cost, performance, and other data, and synthesize information from internal and external discussions regarding best practices to quantify and prioritize the most impactful opportunities that will:
· Optimize vendor panel spend
· Improving client service
· Enhance the vendor experience
Upon gaining alignment from product line leaders, the Margin Strategy & Optimization Leader will then lead the execution of the projects through implementation and value realization.
This role requires a generalist skill set and strong business
acumen, including P&L knowledge, to think through the market, client,
operational and financial impacts of potential strategies and initiatives. In addition, the Margin Strategy &
Optimization Leader will need strong influencing skills to align priorities
across multiple product line teams and execute cross functionally. This role is intended to make an immediate
impact and be a feeder position into operational and ultimately product line leadership
Creative, strategic and solutions oriented thinker with strong consulting,analytical and influencing skills.
·Demonstrate a track record of success and career advancement in a highly charged, fast paced and matrixed work environment.
·Minimum of 10 years’ combined experience leading and supporting both strategic and tactical projects from ideation through execution.
·5+ years’ experience in management consulting or similar roles, with a combination of experience in M&A, business model development, process management/definition, relationship management, analytics, and strategy definition.
·Demonstrated business and financial acumen, and customer focus to holistically evaluate and implement strategic and tactical opportunities.
·Hands on analytical experience with large data sets, utilizing data to identify and quantify business opportunities.
·Proven ability to deliver results by collaborating and building strong working relationships; driving change with influence rather than formal reporting line authority.
·M.B.A. or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
·10 years combined experience in successful strategy, planning, and solutions consulting.
·Prior work experience within the Mortgage Valuations, Field Services or Title industries a plus.
