Job Purpose

The Associate Business Intelligence Analyst uses Power BI, SQL, and other tools to transform raw data into clear, actionable insights that support organizational decision-making and business growth.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop data transformations, reports, and data models to support business needs.
  • Apply BI tools and techniques to analytics projects.
  • Improve and automate data assets and maintain documentation.
  • Build BI programs to process, extract, and summarize data across datasets.
  • Monitor scheduled and automated data processes.
  • Create data models that support business intelligence reporting.
  • Reconcile system data regularly to ensure accuracy.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver insights.
  • Analyze and optimize queries for performance and accuracy.

Required Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working with data sources and building data models, especially in Power BI.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Excel, Power BI data models, SharePoint, and Power Automate.
  • Understanding of SQL database management practices.
  • Ability to learn data security models (e.g., Row-Level Security).
  • Ability to learn query optimization techniques for large datasets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Business, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
  • 2+ years in analytics or reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross‑team collaboration skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities independently.
