Document & Content Governance Intern

Job Purpose

Play a key role in shaping how enterprise knowledge is structured and consumed by AI-powered solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support content inventory and classification efforts across SharePoint and other repositories
  • Apply and validate metadata fields (owner, document type, dates, audience, etc.) to ensure consistency and AI-readiness
  • Assist in content quality checks, identifying outdated, duplicate, or inconsistent documents
  • Maintain and update content governance trackers and dashboards
  • Support the standardization of document formats and templates (policies, SOPs, job aids, FAQs)
  • Collaborate with SMEs and content owners to clarify ownership and validate information
  • Assist in mapping relationships between documents (e.g., policy ↔ SOP ↔ job aid ↔ FAQ)
  • Support taxonomy alignment and content organization across repositories
  • Participate in ongoing governance processes (review cycles, updates, and clean-up initiatives)

Skills & Profile

  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Analytical mindset with ability to identify inconsistencies or gaps
  • Comfortable working with Excel / trackers and structured data
  • Strong written communication skills (English)
  • Interest in knowledge management, process improvement, or content operations
  • Ability to work independently and manage repetitive but critical tasks

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with SharePoint or content management tools
  • Exposure to metadata, taxonomy, or knowledge management concepts
  • Interest in AI / automation / digital employee experience
We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in how information is structured, organized, and made easily accessible, combined with an analytical and detail-oriented mindset to work with content, data, and process-oriented tasks.
We will prioritize students from backgrounds related to information management, industrial engineering, business, or systems/data fields are preferred.

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience, and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
