York Material Processor 4

Material Processor

You will be cross-trained to work in various departments within the Wireless Services Team. You'll also leverage your computer skills as you verify and enter product and customer information into the system, and your attention to detail will be critical as you inspect, label, and package our products.


Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Unpacking cell phones and batteries, cleaning the products, and sorting into bins
  •  Performing quality checks by visually and manually inspecting product
  • Using a computer to enter customer and product information
  • Prepping product for packaging and shipment

Requirements Include:

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for an 8, 10, or 12-hour shift depending on work schedule
  • Ability to manually lift and carry up to thirty (30) pounds
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to toggle between multiple screens
  • Must be fluent in English

Quality Inspector

You will inspect, test, and audit product processes following set procedures while exercising reasonable judgment. Attention to detail is essential as you will work within a fast paced production environment that requires your effective performance of various quality inspection operations.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing technical operations related to the test and inspection of products
  • Performing quality inspection operations, following instructions and pre-established guidelines
  • Entering relevant data and audit/inspection results on forms and in computer database
  • Documenting relevant facts and information to support work performed

Requirements Include:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum of one year in Quality Assurance/Inspection experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective oral and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to toggle between multiple screens
  • Must be fluent in English

Responsibilities may include:

  • Supervising, training, or mentoring team members
  • Fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Planning and coordinating daily workflows and processes, with a focus on identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Utilizing tools like Tableau to track performance metrics to ensure production goals are met and to identify areas of improvement
  • Maintaining safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Championing Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conducting internal audits and support ISO and R2 compliance
  • Collaborating with QA teams to uphold product and service standards
