Accounting Coordinator
Pourpuse
Coordinate and oversee the analysis of local accounting and financial data , ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data quality prior to conversion to US GAAP , identifying potential errors, variances, and financial risks that could impact the corporate close and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Consolidate and analyze local accounting information from multiple business units.
• Perform monthly variance analysis of the balance sheet and income statement.
• Identify, document, and escalate accounting errors, inconsistencies, misclassifications, and budget deviations .
• Validate the integrity, completeness, and structure of financial databases before US GAAP migration.
• Coordinate issue resolution with local accounting and operational teams .
• Design, implement, and strengthen preventive internal controls to ensure high‑quality financial close.
• Prepare and maintain audit‑ready documentation and audit trails.
• Oversee key account reconciliations and critical financial certifications.
• Drive process improvements and automation using Excel, Power BI, and data tools.
• Act as the technical liaison between local accounting teams and the corporate US GAAP reporting team .
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Zero material issues detected post US GAAP conversion.
• Reduction of post‑close and post‑conversion accounting adjustments.
• On‑time completion of local financial validation and close activities.
• Efficiency in variance analysis turnaround times.
• High‑quality documentation supporting internal and external audits.
Required Profile
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field .
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in general accounting, financial close, or financial reporting.
• Proven experience performing financial and variance analysis .
• Experience in multinational environments, shared service centers, or US GAAP reporting is a strong plus.
Technical Skills
• Advanced Excel (Power Query, macros, pivot tables).
• Power BI (intermediate to advanced) .
• Experience with complex account reconciliations
