Job Purpose: The Compliance Business Technical Specialist evaluates Legal and Compliance operational workflows and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and implement targeted enhancements. This role designs and integrates streamlined solutions, manages projects from initiation to completion, and ensures that changes fit seamlessly into regular operations. Additionally, acting as a liaison between stakeholders, software vendors, and technical teams, the Business Process Engineer maintains and enhances core operational systems, reducing inefficiencies and strengthening decision-making. The role involves overseeing the strategic management and optimization of systems to ensure robust performance, scalability, and alignment with organizational objectives. The Business Process Engineer also facilitates the resolution of technical challenges and ensures seamless operational continuity. In addition, they enhance existing systems through the application of emerging technologies. Through clear communication, comprehensive training, and active stakeholder engagement, the Business Process Engineer ensures that new processes deliver measurable results and remain sustainable over time.

Primary Job Accountabilities:

Business Process Analysis & Optimization

  • Evaluates LCGA operational workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for streamlined processes.
  • Uses established methodologies, continuous improvement frameworks, and industry best practices to identify and implement process enhancements aligned with LCGA’s strategic goals.
  • Facilitates workshops with stakeholders to document current processes and define future states.
  • Ensures process changes are effectively communicated, integrated into daily operations, and supported by training and documentation.
  • Creates and maintains workflow documentation detailing both current and recommended states, ensuring clarity and alignment for all stakeholders.
  • Identifies and prioritizes high-impact improvement initiatives by assessing potential return on investment, resource availability, and alignment with LCGA’s broader strategic objectives.
  • Integrates emerging technologies, such as automation and AI tools, to streamline workflows and improve decision-making capabilities.

System Support & Administration

  • Oversees the maintenance and optimization of LCGA’s business process systems, ensuring system stability, scalability, and alignment with evolving organizational needs.
  • Gathers, analyzes and documents system requirements to build/integrate updates to improve efficiencies of existing business workflows and meet LCGA goals.
  • Executes comprehensive testing of system configurations, and/or product changes, coordinates user acceptance testing, provides training to ensure smooth adoption of new system/process implementation.
  • Serves as a liaison between LCGA operations, IT, and third-party vendors, ensuring timely resolution of issues and alignment of system capabilities with business objectives.
  • Regularly reviews system performance and implements proactive measures to maintain data integrity, reduce downtime, and support decision-making.
  • Provides technical assistance for underlying business needs from ambiguous requests by using different tools, techniques, and applications supported by the LCGA Operations.
  • Accountable for diagnosing, investigating, and resolving issues in production and testing environments, devising effective workarounds, and supporting scheduled system upgrades to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Project Management

  • Leads or supports LCGA-focused improvement projects, establishing project plans, timelines, and clear deliverables to ensure timely completion of initiatives.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders to track progress, manage resources, and provide transparent status updates to leadership.
  • Identifies and mitigates project risks, resolving issues proactively to maintain momentum and meet project objectives.
  • Applies change management principles to help teams navigate new processes, ensuring operational continuity and stakeholder buy-in.
  • Conducts post-implementation reviews to assess project outcomes, capture lessons learned and inform ongoing improvements.

Reporting & Data Analytics

  • Develops and maintains dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into LCGA’s operational trends.
  • Interprets data to inform strategic decisions, partnering with stakeholders to define meaningful metrics and KPIs.
  • Manages reporting requests by leveraging analytical tools to create user-friendly outputs that guide business strategies.
  • Performs ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and readiness for analysis.
  • Develops and maintains advanced queries utilizing multiple reporting tools and advanced programming languages including SQL, DAX, M, and Python.
  • Ensures data accuracy, consistency, and reliability, collaborating with relevant teams to address data quality issues.
  • Employs visualization techniques and proof-of-concept solutions—such as graphs/charts, PPT decks, Excel reports, and dashboards—to effectively communicate findings to various audiences.
