The Manager, Performance Analytics & Insights, leads the development and execution of advanced analytics, reporting solutions, and strategic insights that drive business performance across Assurant’s Protection Services. This role serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders, translating complex data into actionable recommendations that improve operational efficiency, client outcomes, financial performance, and strategic decision-making.

The position combines technical expertise in business intelligence, reporting automation, data governance, and analytics with strong business acumen and executive communication skills. The Manager partners with internal leaders and external stakeholders to develop scalable analytics solutions, identify performance opportunities, support forecasting efforts, and influence strategic business decisions through data-driven insights.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

Strategic Analytics & Business Insights

  • Partner with senior business leaders to identify strategic opportunities and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Develop actionable insights and recommendations that support growth, profitability, operational effectiveness, and customer outcomes.

  • Translate complex business questions into measurable analytical frameworks and decision-support tools.

  • Lead business performance reviews and executive-level analytics presentations.

Reporting & Business Intelligence Solutions

  • Own reporting strategies, dashboards, and enterprise performance measurement solutions.

  • Design and maintain scalable reporting frameworks using Power BI and other business intelligence tools.

  • Drive standardization and automation of reporting processes across supported business functions.

  • Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.

Advanced Analytics & Forecasting

  • Perform predictive analysis, trend identification, scenario modeling, and forecasting.

  • Develop business cases and financial analyses to support strategic initiatives.

  • Evaluate key drivers of operational and commercial performance.

Data Strategy & Governance

  • Lead data quality initiatives and governance processes.

  • Establish controls and monitoring to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

  • Partner with data engineering and technology teams to improve data accessibility and scalability.

Client & Stakeholder Partnership (10%)

  • Serve as a strategic analytics advisor to internal business leaders and external stakeholders.

  • Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership and client audiences.

  • Support cross-functional initiatives that require integrated analytics and performance measurement.

Technology & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive adoption of emerging analytics tools, automation solutions, and best practices.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology-enabled reporting and analytics.

  • Recommend and implement enhancements to analytics platforms, tools, and processes.

Leadership & Project Management

  • Lead complex analytical projects and cross-functional initiatives.

  • Influence teams without direct authority to achieve business outcomes.

  • Mentor analysts and contribute to capability development within the organization.

What are the requirements needed for this position? 

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, or related quantitative discipline.

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, data management, performance reporting, or related analytical functions.

  • 5+ years of experience developing executive-level reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions. Experience supporting operational, financial, sales, or business performance initiatives. Demonstrated success influencing decisions through data-driven insights.

  • 2+ years of recent experience in direct client engagement and developing “Go to Action Plans” from data insights.

  • Strong Experience with:

  • Python and SQL

  • PowerBI

  • AWS and/or Azure environments

  • Data visualization and reporting platforms

  • Data transformation and automation tools

  • Executive presence and presentation skills.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Travel up to 20% as needed

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, performance optimization, or consulting.

  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives.

  • Experience in Connected Living, telecommunications, retail, warranty, service operations, or related industries. Leadership experience managing analysts, projects, or analytics functions.

  • Experience implementing advanced analytics, forecasting, or AI-enabled reporting solutions.

Pay Range

$103,800.00 - $173,300.00
