Digital & AI Transformation Intern

Digital & AI Transformation Internship Program

United States – Hybrid (e.g., Atlanta, GA)

Overview

The Digital & AI Transformation Internship Program is a hands-on experience designed for students nearing graduation who are interested in digital innovation, data analytics, and artificial intelligence.

Interns will support enterprise transformation initiatives that leverage digital technologies, automation, and AI to improve efficiency, decision-making, and customer experience.

This program provides exposure to real business challenges, structured learning, and mentorship, with the goal of building a strong pipeline of early talent for future Digital & AI Transformation Analyst roles.

The internship concludes with a capstone presentation delivered to business leaders. High-performing interns may be considered for full-time opportunities.

What You’ll Do

(70–80%) Analysis & Digital Solution Support

  • Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for digital and AI initiatives
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for automation, process improvement, and digital enablement
  • Contribute to dashboards, KPI tracking, and reporting using tools such as Power BI or Excel
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies (AI/ML, automation tools, digital platforms)
  • Help translate business needs into data-driven insights and recommendations

(20–30%) Project Support & Collaboration

  • Assist with project coordination, documentation, and tracking of key milestones
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to ideate digital and AI-driven solutions
  • Support user testing, process mapping, and documentation of business requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Technology, Operations, HR, Legal, Finance, etc.)

Development Opportunities

Interns will gain exposure to:

  • Enterprise digital transformation initiatives
  • Data analytics and insight generation
  • AI and automation use cases in a business environment
  • Cross-functional collaboration in a global organization
  • Executive communication and storytelling through a final presentation

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of, or strong willingness to learn, tools such as SQL, Python, and Power BI; able to work with real-world data and turn it into clear, useful insights.
  • Hands-on experience experimenting with modern AI and automation tools — e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, ChatGPT, Copilot Studio, Power Automate. We don't expect production deployments, but we do expect you to have actually built something, even if it's a personal project, class assignment, or weekend experiment.
  • Ability to break down a problem, ask good questions, and work through ambiguity. You're comfortable saying "I don't know yet, but here's how I'd find out."
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain your thinking clearly to people with different backgrounds, and confident enough to speak up in a room with more senior people.
  • Curiosity and learning agility — you proactively explore emerging technologies, form opinions about them, and bring those ideas into your work.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Coursework or self-study in process improvement, operations, Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma.
  • Any experience — internships, club leadership, part-time work, volunteer roles — where you put a new tool, process, or idea in front of other people and had to get them to use it.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Vercel) or a basic understanding of how APIs let systems talk to each other.
  • Familiarity with a CRM or ERP system (Salesforce, NetSuite, Dynamics, SAP), even at a coursework or club level.
  • Domain interest in [your industry] or another complex/regulated space — you've read about it, taken relevant classes, or are genuinely curious about it.
  • A portfolio of side projects, GitHub contributions, hackathon work, a blog, or anything else that shows you build because you're curious, not just because it was assigned.

A point of view on when an LLM is the right tool — and when it isn't. We're not looking for a "right answer" here, just evidence you've thought about it.
