The Senior Manager, Repair Operations leads device processing operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role oversees production teams, ensures product quality and compliance with customer specifications, and drives operational efficiency to meet production targets and SLAs. The position partners closely with leadership to optimize workflows, reduce WIP, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
- Lead and supervise supervisors and production staff to ensure efficient device processing aligned with company standards
- Drive daily production planning, prioritization, and KPI tracking to meet output and SLA targets
- Ensure product quality through adherence to specifications, auditing processes, and continuous monitoring
- Develop team capability through coaching, feedback, and performance management
- Optimize operations by implementing Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies
- Manage workflow efficiency including line balancing, WIP reduction, and process improvements
- Establish and improve systems, reporting, and operating procedures based on data analysis
- Maintain a safe, compliant, and collaborative work environment
- Partner cross-functionally to improve productivity, quality, and overall operational performance
What are the requirements needed for this position?
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 8+ years of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven success leading hourly teams with strong coaching and performance management skills
- Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
- Master’s degree in a related field
- 10+ years of production or operations leadership experience
- Experience in ISO 9001 or R2-certified environments
- Background in wireless device repair or OEM manufacturing
- Familiarity with electronics tools and mobile device processing technologies
