Title: Senior Tax Analyst
Location: Barueri (Alphaville), São Paulo, Brazil – Hybrid
As a Senior Tax Analyst at Assurant, you will support the Company's direct tax function by managing and reviewing corporate income tax compliance, tax accounting, and reporting activities, ensuring adherence to applicable legislation and corporate policies. This role will contribute to tax planning initiatives, tax governance, regulatory monitoring, and strategic projects, supporting the Company's tax efficiency and risk management objectives within the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review and support the calculation of IRPJ and CSLL, ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations and corporate policies.
- Prepare and review annual and periodic tax filings, including ECF and ECD, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely submission.
- Support monthly and quarterly tax closing processes, including tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, reconciliations and reporting requirements under local GAAP and US GAAP.
- Perform technical tax research and prepare analyses on direct tax matters applicable to the insurance industry, supporting management decisions and tax positions.
- Support tax audits, examinations and inquiries from tax authorities, auditors and regulatory agencies by preparing technical documentation and responses.
- Participate in tax planning, tax controversy and tax optimization initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve tax efficiency while mitigating tax risks and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Monitor tax legislation and regulatory developments, assessing potential impacts and supporting implementation of changes affecting the Company, including Brazilian Tax Reform initiatives.
- Contribute to the enhancement of tax governance, internal controls, process improvements and automation projects to strengthen compliance and operational efficiency.
- Partner with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Operations and Business teams to provide tax guidance and ensure proper treatment of transactions and reporting requirements.
- Support the development of junior team members through technical guidance, training and knowledge sharing.
- Exposure to indirect taxes (PIS, COFINS, ISS, ICMS, IBS and CBS) is desirable but not the primary focus of the role.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Law, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Corporate Tax, with strong expertise in Corporate Income Tax (IRPJ) and Social Contribution Tax (CSLL).
- Solid experience in tax accounting, including tax provisions, current and deferred tax calculations, and tax reporting activities.
- Experience in the preparation and review of ECF and ECD filings.
- Experience supporting tax audits, responding to inquiries from tax authorities, and participating in regulatory examinations.
- Previous experience in insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian direct tax legislation, particularly IRPJ and CSLL.
- Sound understanding of tax accounting principles and tax reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with the impacts of the Brazilian Tax Reform (IBS/CBS) and related implementation challenges.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle and Tax One.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Intermediate level of English proficiency.
- Availability to work in a hybrid schedule, with two days per week in our Alphaville office and three days remotely.
