What Does Our Process Look Like?

Assurant's hiring process typically includes an application, recruiter review, interviews with hiring managers, and a formal offer through our system. Some roles may include a background or drug screening before onboarding.

If you are chosen to move forward through the job application process, you will receive automated messages from our system or emails and/or phone calls from our recruiters.

Interview Icon

Selected candidates will be invited to additional interviews

Typically, these conversations will be with hiring managers and/or other Assurant employees. Our interviews take place on camera. Make sure your equipment is working properly and that you have a valid ID nearby. We’ll briefly verify your identity at the start of the conversation.

Offer Icon

If you're selected, you'll receive an offer letter

An email with offer letter instructions will be sent to you by a recruiter. You may also undergo background and drug screens, depending on location, before you start.

Join Team Icon

You're ready to join the Assurant team

Once the screening process is complete, you'll receive onboarding information, some of which will need to be completed prior to you starting.

You can find our open roles here. Once you find a job you'd like to apply for, click on the "Apply Now" button found in the top right of the job posting. Depending on the role you select, you may apply in our portal or via chatbot.

Yes. You may apply to multiple roles at Assurant, though we recommend limiting applications to those that align well with your background.

We have designed the application process to be as streamlined as possible to ensure a positive candidate experience. Typically, applications take less than 5 minutes to complete.

Applications are reviewed by Assurant recruiters and hiring teams. We may use tools, including AI‑enabled technology, to help organize and review applications consistently and efficiently. Should we find you a good match for the position, we may ask you to move forward through the job application process.

If so, you'll receive automated messages from our system as your application moves through the process, and you might receive emails and/or phone calls from our recruiters. 

For the most recent status of your application, you may check your candidate home in Workday.

Many interviews are conducted virtually, though some roles may include in‑person interviews depending on location and role . Note that our virtual interviews take place on camera. Make sure your equipment is working properly and that you have a valid ID nearby. We’ll briefly verify your identity at the start of the conversation.

We recommend learning more about Assurant and reviewing the job description, considering details that will help you explain why you’re a good fit. On the day of your interview, smile, be yourself, and let your personality shine through! Dress the part, be confident, and engage with your interviewers.

Yes, we will keep you updated throughout the process, including when you may no longer be considered for a role. You may receive communications from your recruiter or an email from our system.

Regardless of the outcome of your application, we will retain your details on file for future reference in accordance with your local privacy laws. However, we encourage you to continue to review our open jobs and apply to any that interest you!

Your recruiter will guide you through next steps, including any required documentation and onboarding activities.

Candidates must have the appropriate work authorization for the country in which the role is based. Requirements are outlined in each job posting.

Visa sponsorship availability varies by role, location, and business need.

Some roles may require background checks or identity verification following an offer of employment, in accordance with local laws and regulations.

Yes! Our application is both desktop and mobile friendly.

Click here and select "Sign In" in the upper right hand corner before entering your credentials and logging in.

This will take you to your Workday Home Account where you can see your submitted application and the status.

You are not able to update your application once submitted.

Click here and select "Sign In" in the upper right hand corner. Then select "Forgot your password?" from the pop up box. Enter your email address to receive reset instructions. Be sure to check your spam/junk folder for the email. 

Click here and select "Sign In" in the upper right hand corner before entering your credentials and logging in.

This will take you to your Workday Home Account where you can update your information. Once you scroll down, you will see two option on the right side to change your contact information (name, address, or phone) or your account settings (email).
